CatholicCare Victoria's chaplains support thousands of Victorians every year in hospitals, prisons and youth justice centres.
Each day they faithfully meet the emotional and spiritual needs of the vulnerable, isolated and marginalised in our community by providing pastoral and spiritual support.
Our Chaplains provide a listening ear, a compassionate presence, along with assistance to cope with emotional pain and loneliness.
Being a hospital chaplain means a chaplain of faith, hope and compassionate love. We are on a journey with the patients and families in the hospitals, as we walk with them during some of the darkest times of their life.
-Helen, CatholicCare Victoria Hospital Chaplain
Your kind support will ensure that our Chaplains can continue to provide much-needed pastoral care to Victorians in need.
GIVE HOPE AND SUPPORT
When they’re first told that their child is critically ill, parents are devastated. Often we’re called in just to be with and support those families in their time of need.
-Helen, CatholicCare Victoria Hospital Chaplain
Your support and generosity enables our chaplains to continue to be messengers of God’s mercy, love and compassion and helps people find comfort and hope as they go through some of their darkest times of need.
“When I was sick, you took care of me,
and when I was in jail, you visited me.”
- Matthew 25:36
