Quality, confidential and ethical services

Accreditation is independent recognition that an organisation like CatholicCare Victoria meets quality standards.

Accreditation provides quality and performance assurance for boards, managers, staff, funding bodies and clients. Accreditation is a tool to measure and improve performance and outcomes.

CatholicCare holds accreditation against a range of standards including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Human Service Standards, National Standards for Mental Health Services, NDIS Practice Standards.

Quality is embedded in the culture of CatholicCare Victoria and is integrated into the operations and work of the organisation, resulting in effective client centred services and a consistently high standard of quality.

CatholicCare Victoria is an ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System certified organisation. We are also accredited against and comply with various other standards including:

  • DFFH Registration: Children, Youth and Families Act
  • Housing Act 1983 (Centacare Housing Services)
  • Human Services Standards
  • NDIS Practice Standards (Provisional)
  • National Standards for Disability Services
  • National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
  • QIC Health and Community Services Standards
  • Victorian Child Safe Standards

We continually strive to improve our service delivery and programs, participating in quality initiatives, peer reviews and regular external quality reviews. We maintain our accreditation as an independent guarantee of our professional standards.

Sustainability

CatholicCare Victoria is working to build sustainable strategies and practices that protect, support and enhance human and natural resources into the future.

Our IT infrastructure uses sustainable purchasing practices and equipment. We strive to improve and implement systems to realise a paperless office and reduce our environmental footprint.

All CatholicCare Victoria owned buildings are installed with solar panels to provide the organisation with sustainable and affordable power.

CatholicCare Victoria’s fleet purchasing policy considers the CO2 emissions of each vehicle with only cars that rate as a 4-5 star or higher in the Green Vehicle Guide being purchased.
