About Us

Strengthening families & communities

At CatholicCare Victoria we're committed to empowering communities and building strength and resilience, to enable everyone to reach their full potential and live life to the full.

We deliver excellence in a broad range of child, family and youth services, family relationship services, school counselling and pastoral care services, social housing, homelessness services (crisis, transitional and outreach), employment and advocacy services across dozens of office locations, delivery sites and outreach locations throughout Victoria.

We're here to support all families and communities

Our support services are available to all individuals or groups regardless of race, religious beliefs or economic status.

At CatholicCare Victoria, we are the social service agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and the Catholic Dioceses of Ballarat, Sale and Sandhurst.

A momentous alignment of Catholic Social Services in Victoria

On 1 January 2021, Centacare Ballarat, CatholicCare Melbourne/Gippsland and CatholicCare Sandhurst merged to form CatholicCare Victoria.

This resulted in a momentous strategic alignment of the social service agencies of the four Catholic dioceses in Victoria, enabling us to:

  • enhance and strengthen service provision to the vulnerable and marginalised, facilitating improved coordination and greater choice for clients
  • amplify scale and reach to sustain and grow services, and enable a greater focus on addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice
  • become a model of high performing Catholic mission
  • continue the strong commitment to local communities.
